If It Works for Joanie….

Here’s what my own personal hero did lately (excerpt taken from USA Triathlon NewsWire):

“The Pumpkinman Tri (1st annual) here in Southern Maine went off today without a hitch and we were graced by the presence of former Olympic Marathon Gold Medalist Joan Benoit. It was her first tri ever. She won her age group and you should have seen her come off the bike and blow out the fastest run split for the women. Needs a little help on the swim but her bike was over 18 MPH.

Pretty awesome performance.

We gave her the mike afterwards and she said to our crowd, ‘after my first marathon, I told myself, NEVER AGAIN……today after my first triathlon I thought to myself, when do I do this again’ :)”

Cool, huh?
