Half Ironman Recovery

Today I went to the YMCA and swam very easy for 35 minutes. It felt really good; Monday, however, I felt like crap.

Not body-wise, but absolutely no energy, very drained. That’s the sun talking to me.

Yesterday, I treated myself to a massage (the spa kind, with hot towels and lavendar) and then had dinner and drinks with my Palo Duro Canyon 50K friends that evening, which  was tons of fun. Between resting, getting lots to drink, eating, and catching up on my sleep, I feel more or less back to normal.

Now I can begin to look forward to Palo Duro Canyon 50K.
