Bike Hunt, Episode 1

I FINALLY got to test ride a bike today. It was super exciting, even though I don’t think the bike is what I want (there will be a more extended test ride tomorrow).

One thing I learned was that I absolutely need to go with the 650 wheel size. It just feels so much more right. I realized in my test ride today that stopping is something that can just happen without any anticipation or worry when your bike is the right size.

A friend of mine is selling her bike and I’m going to see if it’s in the range of possibility. We’ll take it in next week and let the shop take a look at me on it and give some recommendations. I feel confident with their assessment and, if I change up some stuff, of course I’ll have them do the work and the fitting. It would be a win-win situation all ’round.
