It’s been a day with my boy. This morning, his sister had to go to school earlier for a final and he had to go later, as he was exempting one. So I drove him to school this morning after I got my swim workout done, which was some nice time, just the two of. He likes my Van Halen “Greatest Hits” CD; our favorite is “Dreams,” and we turn it up loud and sing along.
Dad is out of town for the day and Sister is doing senior things, so he and I went out to dinner together. I watched him polish off two cheeseburger platters and a quarter-pound chocolate chip cookie–oh, to have the metabolism of a 15-year-old boy. We came home and played a bit of Guitar Hero and he was very gracious when I failed in Co-Op Career Mode (ok, I admit speed metal is a challenge for me…the Metallica song killed me on Hard).
We just threw a load of laundry in and are getting ready to watch the season finale of “Lost” (we made our plot predictions over dinner).
What a nice day.
that sounds awesome…i wish i could have a day with _my_ mom…she lives too far though 🙁
