by OMG, I am tired. My daughter and I drove to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches today for her to visit the school. Four hours driving there, 2.5 hours at the school, four hours back.
My body feels worse than it did after either the half Ironman or Palo Duro Canyon 50K. I’m all creaky and stiff and sore and I just feel beat…and all this aching makes me feel old.
Tomorrow is my son’s birthday party (he’s having friends over at the house most of the day to hang out and play games, etc.). This is going to be another one of those weekends where I need a weekend to recover from the weekend.
Next weekend will be the same, as we will combine a visit to North Texas State with a soccer tournament in Dallas.
And then it’s Thanksgiving and I am hosting the family.
I just want a quiet couple of days somewhere.
