Too Tired to Think about Playtri

Man, I don’t know what it is about this week but the “life” stuff is kicking my butt. I got a break this evening as soccer practice was cancelled, but I spent forever working on a thing for band for my daughter (it involved looking through old family photos, which was fun but took some time and made a mess). That, and dog training has been bumped up to a new intensity. The dog gets no slack right now; it’s like having a toddler who is testing your boundries all day.

It’s a little after 9PM and I’m getting ready for bed. I can’t even think ahead to the race [Playtri Half Ironman] this weekend. On one hand, this bugs me because it’s contrary to my nature but on the other, I feel very prepared. With as many bricks and transition practices as we’ve done, I practically feel like I could do that part in my sleep. Well…not really but I am confident. We’ve done more rides than I can shake a stick at and the swimming has been good and plentiful and, well, we’re runners, so that’s that.

Today’s run-through was nice (except for Cathy’s accident) because it pointed out to me a couple of miscellaneous food things I needed to pick up and some things to wash (like my bike).

Is tomorrow really Thursday already?!?
