Waking Up Early

For the first time this morning, I woke up early at something more akin to my normal pre-“I feel like hell” mornings, around 6AM. This made me very happy because I must be finally getting my system powered up again. If I don’t need as much sleep, then I must be getting better! And if I’m getting better, then I am that much closer to getting back to running again.

The trick is going to be not to do too much. Like a nag into the barn, I have a tendency to pick it up ASAP. I’ve put “REST” on my to-do list and limited the number of items. I will do the same tomorrow. And I am not allowing myself to exercise, so the consideration is not even there.

I will say that when I do very little physical activity, it is pretty easy to not eat very much. I don’t even get hungry. However, I’m watching this because I want to make sure that I get good and proper fuel to speed up my body’s healing.
