Sigh

Back at the doc today, who manipulated all kinds of things in interesting and fairly painful ways. I had to internally laugh at the two guys twisting me into a pretzel and me saying, “My leg doesn’t WANT to do that!”

I’m not supposed to run this weekend. Dr. Sellers wants me to stay away from running until I see him on Wednesday, and we’ll make a call then. I felt so irrational at the way I reacted to this news when he said, “C’mon…it’s a week. Surely you can take a week off.” It just seems like I’ll be so behind, what with the short, easy week Thanksgiving week, and no running for me this week.

To make matters worse, today was my FAVORITE kind of running weather. Cold (in the low 40s/upper 30s) with some sun. I know how dogs feel when they sit at the window and want to go outside.

The good news is I can do anything non-impact. Swimming and biking, even walking. So if the weather is bad tomorrow, I’m going to put myself up on the trainer and ride away as long as I can stand it.
